But I'm Not Just a Number
The work I am submitting is a selection of pieces, final outcomes and experimental sketchbook work, from the course I am currently undertaking. The work is from a range of different projects; modern architecture, umbrellas, wasps, spinning tops etc but all show the different techniques I have learnt and how they have varied between projects. I believe these images represent my style well and show how I prefer to progress my work into a final 3d design and style the garments for a final photo shoot.
I like to think, in general I am a pretty happy, outgoing person and I believe that one should try and pursue and complete everything that is thrown your way. One of my passions is dance; I have just achieved distinction in my grade 7 ballet and hope to keep on dancing in my spare time as it is my physical form of art and I love expressing my emotions through dance.
I would love to be accepted onto this course as it would give me many opportunities; by initiating our own projects we are learning how to be independent and we will have to try and work systematically and efficiently, however still knowing we have the strong support of the tutors in the background. I am devoted to experimenting to eventually create perfection and I believe this course will strongly assist that with the freedom you’re given a long with the important teaching of design and pattern cutting. I also look forward to the fact you can learn to style your garments appropriately after making them.
